Description of resource
This UNESCO report, “Behind the Screens,” aims to provide valuable insights into the world of digital content creators. The report highlights findings from a study about digital content creators’ motivations, skills, practices, and challenges.
Section 2.2 specifically looks at trust and accuracy, notably fact checking. The research found that the surveyed digital content creators mainly use popularity when evaluating the credibility of online sources (such as the number of likes to establish whether the information is accurate), and do not verify the accuracy of information before sharing it with their audiences.
